25 Weeks!

Sorry- the picture will have to wait. Justin is in Florida and I can't take it by myself :)

Week: 25
Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a eggplant. 13.5 inches and almost 2 pounds (seems like one really big eggplant if you ask me...)
Stretch Marks: I think I have one teeny tiny one on my right side...I showed Justin but he said "That's it?"...so maybe not? I am talking like a cm, but it is a little red mark. Either way...not bad! However, my belly is getting really big and stretching tight and you can see all of my veins (not hard since I am translucent anyway) and it is a little creepy...
Maternity Clothes: Lots of maternity clothes and Justin's t-shirts after work. Just ordered some cute new stuff from Old Navy on major clearance...can't wait for it to get here!
Sleep: Been a little bothered by the allergies at night so I haven't slept well this week...but not because of the pregnancy.
Movement: Lots of movement and starting to be able to determine her patterns of when she is awake and asleep. She is very active and starting to have harder kicks and jabs as she gets bigger.
Yummy: Watermelon, cuties, cereal, oatmeal, peanut butter, and granola bars!
Eww!: Anything in a can...fruit, soup, etc.
Symptoms: Heartburn, tired feet, super big belly :)
Mood: Anxious...ready to get settled in the new place and ready to meet her soon!
High of the week: Just knowing that everything is going well and she is getting so strong! Just a peaceful week.
Low of the week: Can't think of one....a good week in all. Complaining about getting bigger is probably a low for Justin...who is the most supportive person ever and tells me it is beautiful! I knew it would happen, obviously, but it is a little harder than I thought watching your body transform so quickly!
Most looking forward to: Spring Break with my parents and hubby :)

24 Weeks!

24 Weeks!

Week: 24
Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a grapefruit (seems small?) and the uterus is the size of a soccer ball (seems HUGE)- but she is growing a lot and her brain is developing so quickly. Also, the fetus can now survive (with serious medical help) outside of the womb...which is crazy!
Stretch Marks: No- which is hard to believe considering how big I am getting!
Maternity Clothes: Not in these pictures posted above :) We had just gotten back from a walk...but most of the things I wear are maternity. I found a couple of great dresses at Target for the upcoming FL trip, which made me happy!
Sleep: Sleeping really well lately...
Movement: Lots and lots of kicking...Justin has now felt her quite a bit and loves it every time! She is very active and it is reassuring to feel her moving around in there.
Yummy: Veggies, Strawberries, Pears (still), Peaches, Pasta, Cookies, and Cereal!
Eww!: Nothing grossing me out lately....but I really miss Jimmy John's/lunch meat in general. I keep telling Justin that he is going to have to bring me some Jimmy John's at the hospital :)
Symptoms: Itchy belly and heartburn.
Mood: Excited and anxious to meet her...only 16 more weeks to go!
High of the week: Doctor Appointment went really well this week. They checked her heartbeat and said that she is strong and growing right on track. The doctor also reassured me about getting a big belly and said that I will just carry that way because I am so short...which made me feel better about the belly getting bigger by the day. So far...it is all staying in the belly...so hopefully that luck continues!
Low of the week: Stressful week at work with ISAT testing for my kiddos. Again, not pregnant related, but it was just a long week.
Most looking forward to: Planning her nursery! Looks like we will be heading to the Oakbrook area in the next month, so I am looking forward to decorating over there and making our new place the perfect place for all three of us!

23 Weeks!

23 Weeks...17 to go!

Week: 23
Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a pomegranate (the bump) or an ear of corn (what to expect)...8.5 inches and 1.5 lbs. Her face is fully formed and now only needs cute baby fat! Her brain will develop a lot over the next few weeks and she will be gaining 6 ounces a week for the next few weeks as well.
Stretch Marks: No stretch marks...using a lot of lotion and bio-oil. Hoping this good luck continues, but I know a lot of friends who got them after 30 weeks...so I am not crossing them off just yet!
Maternity Clothes: Yes! Went shopping with Lindsay this week and got a few new tops and some black capri yoga pants for my upcoming trip to Florida!
Sleep: Sleeping well with lots of blankets, pillows, and the body pillow. The hips are feeling much better now. Still early to bed, early to rise...
Movement: Quite often. Most active around 7 am, 4-5 pm, and 7-9 pm. We will see if this is her schedule when she is here!
Yummy: Pasta, any and all fruit, milk, pancakes, milk duds at the movies :)
Eww!: Canned soup...even the thought makes me a little queasy!
Symptoms: Heartburn, lower back pain, sore feet, ligament pain from the stretching skin...all things to be expected and nothing worth complaining about. People have it much worse....I still feel great 99% of the day and am very thankful that the pregnancy has been this easy....hope it continues that way.
Mood: Excited, Happy, and Content
High of the week: Justin felt her kick! Simply the most amazing part of the pregnancy so far! We were watching The Bachelor on Monday night and she was really moving around. She was kicking so hard, I would flinch. Justin laid with his hand on my belly and felt her right away with a little kick. Then, she gave him a big, strong one just to be certain he knew it was her! It was so awesome and he was so excited to finally feel her moving around. Simply a wonderful family moment...
Low of the week: Trying on maternity dresses...trying to find something to wear to the Member Guest Dinner down in Florida and everything seems so unflattering when you are getting bigger by the day! I know I will find something cute...just need to keep looking!
Most looking forward to: Having tomorrow off of school. I just remembered this morning that I have no work tomorrow. Not related to the pregnancy really, except another day of planning baby things and relaxing! Love having a teacher schedule...Cheers to Casimir Pulaski Day!
