30 Weeks!

30 Weeks!

Week: 30
Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a head of a cabbage ...3 pounds and 17 inches! Her eyesight is continuing to develop and she is already head down, ready for her big debut...
Stretch Marks: None- Glad we were able to take the maternity pictures without them...
Maternity Clothes: Yes- and running out of options! I feel like I wear the same things over and over again...but I refuse to buy much more when we are so close to the end. Trying to figure out what to wear to both of my showers this weekend...
Movement: Constantly. This week I have really been able to see it from the outside. It is amazing!
Yummy: Peanut Butter Sandwiches, red grapes, granola bars, multi-grain cheerios, pasta...
Eww!: Eggs...and hospital food...yuck!
Symptoms: Wicked heartburn and exhausted. I am also finding it more and more difficult to get up when laying down....proving to be a very difficult and painful task. I also miss being able to shave my legs or tie my shoes without holding my breath. :)
Mood: Anxious- 10 week countdown begins!
High of the week: Putting her crib together and having Becky take our maternity photos. Both were so exciting. We love the crib and it looks amazing in her room. The maternity pictures are amazing (on Facebook) and I don't know how we are going to choose which few we get printed to put in the large frames for her room. Thank you so much Joe and Becky!
Low of the week: A trip to the hospital! On Thursday, April 19th, I was having really bad cramps at work. I called the doctors office and they wanted me to come in to check for signs of pre-term labor. They hooked me up to a machine to check for contractions. By the time I got to the office, I was no longer in any pain, so I was certain they would find nothing and send me home. Unfortunately, I was having mild contractions so they had to send me to the hospital. I was very calm until this moment and then I started crying. I called Justin and he left work right away and met me there. We were hooked up to the machine again and given an exam. During the exam, they performed a swab test to check for preterm labor. Apparently, this test is 99% accurate in determining wheather your body will go into labor in the next two weeks. The test came back negative and the contractions had subsided. They said many things could cause this- stress, dehydration, etc. So the doctor said we were just fine, but we did the right thing to call and get everything checked out. Better safe than sorry!! So....a few hours later, we were on our way home! Picked up McDonalds (healthy, I know) after the gross soup and salad from the hospital....and it was the end of a very long day. I think I was sleeping within 5 minutes of finishing my burger and fries :)
Most looking forward to: Baby showers this weekend! So excited for my mom and Betsy to arrive on Thursday. I took Friday and Monday off of work and am looking forward to a long weekend of family time and preparing for this little girl's arrival!

29 Weeks!

29 Weeks!

So...I apologize for not getting this weeks post up sooner. I have had a couple people tell me they have checked. So...this picture is actually from 29 weeks, I just haven't had time to upload and post. We had a really busy week getting settled in the new place. So...here is 29 weeks...I figured I better get it up before I have to do 30 weeks tomorrow :)

Week: 29
Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a head of a butternut squash, weighing in around 2.5 lbs and 15 inches long. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to form and grow stronger! Her bones are also strengthening, so I need lots of calcium- which I have been getting from tums and late night cereal :)
Stretch Marks: No- and belly button is still in- but I am so pale that you can see all the veins in my belly as it stretches even more. Kind of funny looking :)
Maternity Clothes: Maternity jeans are so comfy....they should make regular jeans with elastic waist bands...I wish that would be acceptable to wear post baby! I also have been wearing some cute maternity pj's my mom got me because everything else is getting a little too small!
Movement: All. Day. Long. And I love it! And, you can see her moving if you watch my belly- which is quite awesome.
Yummy: Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Lemonade, Cantaloupe, Cheerios, Oatmeal with Apples, Trail Mix Granola Bars, French Fries!
Eww!: Nothing I can think of...still a healthy and hearty diet. Poor Justin rarely gets to finish my meals anymore. I hope this appetite goes away after she arrives or I might be in trouble :)
Symptoms: Heartburn, Back Pain, and Tired....back to the first trimester bed time...8ish (including weekend nights....)
Mood: Happy and a bit more content now that we have moved into our new place.
High of the week: We moved in to our new place on Saturday, April 14th! I really like the new area and it feels very homey. We certainly move a lot, but we manage to make each place feel like our own. Kennedy is adjusting well and loving that Justin comes home at lunch to take him out. Hopefully that will help him stay out of trouble...although I doubt it. I hope our daughter is better behaved than our dog :)
Low of the week: Kennedy destroying the bathroom at our old place. He somehow locked himself in the bathroom and then clawed/chewed/ate his way out of the bathroom- completely destroying the trim and door in the process. Luckily, we have a great contractor that we have worked with on several projects in the past. Justin got in touch with him right away and he had it fixed in a few days. It looks perfect and matches the rest of the house perfectly. Not pregnancy related really, but caused some stress- which is not good. That silly, silly dog...
Most looking forward to: Getting her room all set up and organized!

28 Weeks!

28 Weeks!

Third Trimester!

Week: 28
Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a head of a rutabaga.  She is about 17 inches long and 2.5-3 pounds!
Stretch Marks: No, but the belly is getting itchy as it gets even bigger.
Maternity Clothes: Starting to look like actual maternity clothes as I get bigger by the day.
Movement: Constantly. Today, I had to take my glucose test (a gross drink with 50 grams of sugar!) and about 45 minutes later, you could actually see my belly dancing around! She was on a sugar rush!
Yummy: Watermelon, cereal, girl scout cookies that just arrived from Miss Peyton, yogurt.
Eww!: Still canned goods....
Symptoms: Heartburn almost constantly. If this heartburn thing is true, I think she is going to have a head full of dark brown hair like her Daddy. Starting to get a bit of the pregnancy "waddle" too!
Mood: Happy and Nervous....the nerves are starting to set in as the due date approaches. Not about becoming a parent, but about the actual delivery. I don't  have a very high pain tolerance...
High of the week: Painting our new place, and specifically, her nursery! It is chocolate brown and pink! Can't wait to get the crib set up and post some pictures of the progress.
Low of the week: Packing! We are almost done! Moving day is Saturday! Can't wait to get settled in the new place.
Most looking forward to: My work baby shower on Wednesday. I am so lucky that I love my job and the people I work with. I know my coworkers have worked hard on the shower and I cannot wait to celebrate with everyone...and post about all the goodies we receive for this little girl :)

27 Weeks!

Week: 27
Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a head of cauliflower, 16 inches and 2.5 pounds! That is a big cauliflower! I picked one up at the store today and it did not seem that big :) But she is growing every day and getting stronger, so life is good!
Stretch Marks: No obvious ones that I can see...and belly button is still an innie!
Maternity Clothes: Best thing I ever did was invest in good maternity jeans...feel like its all I wear!
Sleep: Had a few more great nights in Florida- then came home to my own bed and slept great with Justin and Kennedy snuggled up in our new queen bed as we prepare for our move. It is a tight squeeze- but a very comfy bed!
Movement: All. The. Time. I still can't tell if I have felt her have the hiccups yet, but I guess that should be starting soon!
Yummy: Watermelon, pineapple, peanut butter toast, grapefruit, cereal, sweet potato fries, and lemonade!
Eww!: Nothing gross in the food department this week!
Symptoms: Heartburn, crazy leg cramps in the middle of the night, and a little lower back pain. Nothing major!
Mood: Happy! Happy! Happy! Things are just so great for us right now. Looking forward to the move and getting settled in another new neighborhood. Very thankful for Justin's new job and everything we have going for us right now. It is a good start to 2012!
High of the week: Spending a few more days with my parents and brother, Drew, in Florida. Drew being scared to touch my belly was pretty funny...and my mom attempting to steal chopsticks from PF Changs (not pregnancy related) was certainly one of my highs this week! :)
Low of the week: Packing! No one really likes to pack their house up, especially when you do it every 9-12 months :)  It is going well though and Justin is moving a lot on his own, so I am really appreciative of that!
Most looking forward to: Getting back to work tomorrow with the kiddos...and painting the nursery next weekend (hopefully)- I think we picked out the colors today! I think we are going to go with pink and chocolate brown walls!

26 Weeks!

Waiting on a photo from my mom to use for this week! She took a great one of Justin and I at the Member Guest dinner in Florida! I will post it soon!

Week: 26

Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a head of lettuce!
Stretch Marks: That teeny tiny one seems to have disappeared...maybe it wasn't a stretch mark? No others have showed up and the belly button is still in!
Maternity Clothes: My cute new shirts from Old Navy arrived just before my trip to Florida!
Sleep: Had the bed to myself the first half of the week, Justin was in Florida! Then I headed down on Friday and had a couple of great nights sleep in a very comfy bed at my parents house!
Movement: Lots and Lots! She was moving a ton on the plane ride down to Florida! And....my parents got to feel her on Sunday (March 25th)...she kicked first for my Dad and about an hour later my Mom felt her! Very exciting moment for both of them!
Yummy: Watermelon, peanut butter sandwiches, pineapple!
Eww!: Full meals...seams strange, but I have been more of a snacker lately!
Symptoms: Heartburn and allergies!
Mood:Happy and Excited to get to work on her nursery as soon as we move!
High of the week: Being in Florida with Justin and my Parents. My parents feeling her kick was probably the high of the week for me!
Low of the week: Rough plane ride Friday night....flew through some storms and it had me quite nervous!
Most looking forward to: Spending the next few days still relaxing in Florida!
