Baby: Baby Pease is the size of a head of a cabbage ...3 pounds and 17 inches! Her eyesight is continuing to develop and she is already head down, ready for her big debut...
Stretch Marks: None- Glad we were able to take the maternity pictures without them...
Maternity Clothes: Yes- and running out of options! I feel like I wear the same things over and over again...but I refuse to buy much more when we are so close to the end. Trying to figure out what to wear to both of my showers this weekend...
Movement: Constantly. This week I have really been able to see it from the outside. It is amazing!
Yummy: Peanut Butter Sandwiches, red grapes, granola bars, multi-grain cheerios, pasta...
Eww!: Eggs...and hospital food...yuck!
Symptoms: Wicked heartburn and exhausted. I am also finding it more and more difficult to get up when laying down....proving to be a very difficult and painful task. I also miss being able to shave my legs or tie my shoes without holding my breath. :)
Mood: Anxious- 10 week countdown begins!
High of the week: Putting her crib together and having Becky take our maternity photos. Both were so exciting. We love the crib and it looks amazing in her room. The maternity pictures are amazing (on Facebook) and I don't know how we are going to choose which few we get printed to put in the large frames for her room. Thank you so much Joe and Becky!
Low of the week: A trip to the hospital! On Thursday, April 19th, I was having really bad cramps at work. I called the doctors office and they wanted me to come in to check for signs of pre-term labor. They hooked me up to a machine to check for contractions. By the time I got to the office, I was no longer in any pain, so I was certain they would find nothing and send me home. Unfortunately, I was having mild contractions so they had to send me to the hospital. I was very calm until this moment and then I started crying. I called Justin and he left work right away and met me there. We were hooked up to the machine again and given an exam. During the exam, they performed a swab test to check for preterm labor. Apparently, this test is 99% accurate in determining wheather your body will go into labor in the next two weeks. The test came back negative and the contractions had subsided. They said many things could cause this- stress, dehydration, etc. So the doctor said we were just fine, but we did the right thing to call and get everything checked out. Better safe than sorry!! So....a few hours later, we were on our way home! Picked up McDonalds (healthy, I know) after the gross soup and salad from the hospital....and it was the end of a very long day. I think I was sleeping within 5 minutes of finishing my burger and fries :)
Most looking forward to: Baby showers this weekend! So excited for my mom and Betsy to arrive on Thursday. I took Friday and Monday off of work and am looking forward to a long weekend of family time and preparing for this little girl's arrival!
